The Pace of Change

A recently conducted global research study underscores the accelerating pace of consumer decision-making patterns. Among the findings, nearly two-thirds (63%) of consumers around the world reported that they make decisions faster now than just a few years ago. In addition, almost half (45%) of consumers worldwide agree that they have more power to influence a company’s success or failure than ever before. The research explains several factors for fueling this speed—people are better informed, have access to their peers around the globe (stronger voices), and can broadly promote their views with the click of a mouse.

Could these findings call attention to what businesses, and specifically the Information Technology organizations within businesses, are challenged with today?
