Whitlock Becomes Proud Sponsor of Developmental Road Racing Tri-Cyclist Club
Whitlock today announces they have become proud sponsors of the Tri-Cyclists Bicycle Racing Club in the Carolina region. This club is a competitive team composed of male and female cyclists, duathletes, and triathletes of all levels of ability. Whitlock has chosen to sponsor this team because they are committed to promoting cycling as a healthy, safe and fun way to get and stay fit. Beyond their mission to promote cycling is their commitment to sponsor race events to raise money to support worthwhile organizations such as the Chapel Hill Ronald McDonald House and The American Red Cross.
The Tri-Cyclists Bicycle Racing Club is in their eighth year of promoting competitive cycling. They have a highly educated and talented membership roster, including university faculty, scientists, executives, attorneys, and bicycle racers with state, national, and international accolades. Included in the roster, is Whitlock’s president and cycling enthusiast, Don Bafford. “Indeed I was fortunate when my family moved to Chapel Hill in 2006 to find the Tri-Cyclists. The structured workouts, camaraderie, and desire to give back to the community are unlike anything I’ve experienced in the past. We are both fortunate and proud to be associated with such a fantastic group of people.” says Bafford.

The club members form a group of athletes that come from all walks of life and who share the thrill of competition and teamwork, both on and off the race course. Most of the team members live in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, and Raleigh, North Carolina.
